  • Engineered and designed an application to send data to the plants in near real time for testing parts during the manufacturing process (.NET, Kubernetes, Python, and Postgres)

  • Developed an application to receive vehicle testing data from the plants. From this data, a vehicle manifest is created and sent out to S3 and Kafka for consumption by other teams at GM for reporting and analysis. Technologies included Java, .NET, Kafka, and MSSQL.

  • Upgraded legacy app from Windows 2016 servers to Windows 2022. Also upgraded the services within the app from .NET2 to .NET6

  • Development lead in charge of mentoring junior developers. Tasks included assigning out tasks to them and helping them with coding and design

  • As a part of the Corporate Data Management team, develop ETL jobs using different technologies including WhereScape Red and SQL Server Integration Services to load various source files and tables into the data warehouse (SQL Server). Teams around the company are the end users and work with us to help us understand the data and how it needs to be transformed and conformed.

  • Developed a framework using JRecord (Java) to parse mainframe EBCDIC files with COBOL copybooks and load into the data warehouse. The framework in all includes SQL Server Integration Services, Java, and PowerShell. A separate process to convert data from SQL Server tables into EBCDIC files was also implemented using JRecord to deliver files to end users. Also, developed a solution for this for integration with data lake (HDFS/Hive).

  • Debug and resolve issues when they occur with the loading process

  • Development with an in-house React/Redux application. The application will allow team members to create source-to-target mappings and save them to a database, so they can be shared/edited throughout the team. The backend technologies included Groovy, SQL, Spring Boot. 

  • Integrated Kafka stream into SQL Server by using kafka-python library to connect to the stream, and then shredding XML messages from the stream into SQL server tables.
