Remote Director of Cybersecurity (Blue Team)

Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity leader to aid our efforts in protecting the Habitat for Humanity digital neighborhood. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Cybersecurity landscape, as well as a proven track record of implementing successful security programs.
Location: This position is eligible to be remote or hybrid in countries where HFHI currently operates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee identity management strategies, ensuring secure and streamlined user access across the organization.
- Lead efforts to protect enterprise information systems by developing robust security architectures and ensuring the deployment of cutting-edge security technologies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive data protection strategies, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data.
- Implement a framework to quantify and manage cyber risks, ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite
- Formulate, review, and revise cyber policies to ensure they are current and adherent to local, national, and international regulatory standards.
- Ensure the security of the supply chain by implementing rigorous vetting and management processes for all third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Socialize the efforts of the security team by engaging with senior management, communicating risks and vulnerabilities, and providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to the entire organization, providing strategy and leading projects that will have a far reaching impact on the ministry.
Minimum Qualifications:
Years of Related Experience:
- 5+ years in a Cybersecurity leadership position
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of implementing successful security programs, with a focus on creating a culture of security and promoting security awareness.
- Experience leading a team of Cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure their success and professional growth.
- Recognized expert in the field of Cybersecurity
Preferred Requirements (in addition to minimum):
- Ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally, to achieve HFHI IT initiatives.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical staff and business users at all levels.

- A passion for Cybersecurity, with a focus on protection
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of Cybersecurity.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance.
For work locations in the US, the target hiring range for this position is $136,000 - $152,000. The salary range for this position is between $128,000 - $192,000 per year.
