Privacy Policy for Christian Tech Jobs
Effective Date: July 13, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Christian Tech Jobs. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our website.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account and contact information: Your name, email address, account type, authentication metadata, communication preferences, and messages you send us.
- Talent and application information: Resumes, profile details, work history, education, skills, links, salary preferences, profile images, job applications, anonymous application data, and talent-pool opt-in data.
- Employer and job-posting information: Company details, job descriptions, application links, team membership, job credits, claim requests, payment status, and related support communications.
- Payment metadata: Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, invoice, and portal identifiers. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage, analytics, and security data: IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, job views, apply clicks, saved filters, reports, rate-limit events, CAPTCHA/Turnstile results, and operational logs.
- Imported or generated content: When you ask us to extract or improve job/profile content, or when we process public job information, we may process the submitted URL, page text, images, resumes, or job/profile text needed to provide that feature.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, analytics, abuse prevention, and product functionality.
Site analytics. We use a first-party analytics system to understand how visitors use Christian Tech Jobs: pages viewed, searches run, and steps completed toward applying or posting a job. This uses a cookie (ctj_aid) that assigns your browser a random identifier for up to 400 days. It does not track you across other websites, and we do not store your IP address with analytics events. If you create an account, this activity is linked to your account so we can improve your experience (for example, showing you jobs relevant to searches you ran before signing up).
Session replay. We use PostHog (a US-based analytics processor) to review anonymized recordings of how the site is used so we can find and fix confusing or broken experiences. Text you type into forms, resumes, email addresses, and payment fields are masked and never recorded.
AI job matching. If you are a job seeker with a complete profile, we generate job matches by converting your resume and profile fields into numerical vectors using OpenAI's API. Under OpenAI's API terms this content is not used to train their models. The vectors are stored in our own database. Setting your profile status to Hide Me removes you from matching and the talent index entirely.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Job Search and Application: To help you find jobs and apply for them efficiently.
- Communication: To send you updates, newsletters, or respond to your inquiries.
- Personalization: To tailor the job listings and content we present to you based on your preferences and usage patterns.
- Improvement of Services: To analyze and improve the performance and usability of our website.
- Talent Pool: If you opt in, we include your resume and contact details in our talent pool, where Christian employers and recruiters using Christian Tech Jobs can discover and contact you about opportunities beyond the specific job you applied to. Inclusion in the talent pool is always optional and separate from any specific job application.
- Payments and Credits: To create checkout sessions, manage subscriptions, process job credits, prevent fraud, and provide receipts or support.
- Safety and Abuse Prevention: To verify CAPTCHA/Turnstile challenges, moderate submitted images and resumes, rate-limit high-cost or state-changing endpoints, investigate reports, and protect the Service.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Sharing Your Information
- Employers and Recruiters: To facilitate job applications, we share your information with employers and recruiters who may contact you regarding job opportunities. If you have opted in to our talent pool, employers and recruiters with Christian Tech Jobs employer access may also view your resume and contact information and reach out to you about other roles beyond the specific job you originally applied to.
- Service Providers: We use third-party processors to operate Christian Tech Jobs, including Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage; Stripe for payments and billing; SendGrid for email; Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention; Algolia for search; Mapbox for location autocomplete; OpenAI, Anthropic, Firecrawl, and Google Vision when submitted content needs extraction, moderation, or processing; Vercel for hosting; PostHog and simple analytics providers when enabled for product analytics; and operational logging/monitoring tools.
- Public and Search Features: Public job posts, company pages, blog posts, worker profile teasers, and aggregate statistics may be visible to visitors and search engines. Resume files, contact details, and gated talent data are shown only through the intended access paths.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
5. Security of Your Information
We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information that we collect and process. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
