Marketing

Philadelphia, PA
entry

I completed a four month marketing internship at Perpetual Campaigns in Philadelphia, PA. Here, I gained experience in face-to-face marketing and sales, and learned different sales tactics, and theories. I represented the Gen Mobile brand through direct, face-to-face engagement with consumers. My role focused on enhancing brand image and increasing community recognition through positive and informative public interactions. Each day, I set up branded displays at various locations throughout Philadelphia—and occasionally in Trenton, NJ—and distributed marketing materials to promote Gen Mobile’s products and services. I actively greeted and engaged local shoppers, building rapport through meaningful conversations and using targeted questions to pre-qualify potential customers for affordable phone service. Additionally, I gathered customer feedback and collected contact information to support follow-up outreach after initial interactions.

I also have two years of experience in the education field, serving as both a full-time substitute teacher/teacher assistant and a Middle School Math Teacher. As a substitute teacher, I provided educational and behavioral support across classrooms for grades K-8, ensuring continuity in learning by following lesson plans provided by the regular teachers. In my role as a Middle School Math Teacher, I was responsible for lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and grading for grades 6-8. This position required me to develop strong organizational skills, data analysis capabilities, and effective office coordination to manage student performance and ensure alignment with curriculum standards.

I have a well-versed musical background. I began singing in church at an early age, and continued to develop my passion through participation in various vocal groups and choirs throughout high school and college. Currently, I am a member of Accord, a Christian a cappella group that recently released its first single, “Feels Good,” and is in the process of completing its debut album. In addition to singing, I play electric guitar, and I am an aspiring songwriter and vocal arranger. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a minor in Music from Washington Adventist University. This academic background equipped me with strong skills in marketing research and strategy, as well as a solid foundation in music theory and classical bass vocal performance.
Additionally, during my time at Washington Adventist University, I gained valuable administrative and customer service experience working as a front desk receptionist and dorm mail sorter in the men’s dormitory. These roles involved greeting students and guests, maintaining the lobby area, and organizing and delivering mail efficiently, which further honed my interpersonal and organizational abilities.

I am eager to bring my diverse skill set, adaptability, and commitment to excellence to your organization, contributing meaningfully to your team and organizational goals. Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience aligns with your needs.
