I have 20+ years of experience working in software development and programming at the same company. During this time I have acquired a solid foundation of knowledge in software engineering, coding, and debugging. 

What I did: 

Normalized the databases. 

Created and maintained both windows and web based programs. 

A part of the team that upgraded PHP 5.xx to PHP 7.xx and then to PHP 8.0.x. 

In charge of the upgrade to PHP 8.1.x and 8.2.x. For the PHP 8.xx versions. I kept the programs to be backward compatible just in case the installation of the PHP update went awry and the PHP installation had to be reverted, which happened at least once. The bosses where happy that I did that. The new files ran fine on the older version. 

Interacted with end users over the telephone and video chat. About 80% of the time, it was their miss-understanding of how the program worked. About 15% of the time, they wanted a new set of reports or a SQL script to get the data they wanted to present to others. The other 5% where either network and/or internet issues or a problem with the program. 

My process in creating a new web page is to study the document criteria to determine the table structure and column names and whether or not the screen needs sub tables. I figure out if the check boxes on the document are logical fields or are really radio buttons. As I program the screen, I list the column names in the create table SQL script. After the screen was finished, I created the PDF reports and the export to csv files that went with it. 

I am knowledgeable in a number of programming languages, including PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Delphi, Pascal, and Apache.
