I'm a software engineer with about twenty years of experience, most of it spent on the systems other engineers depend on: distribution backends, test infrastructure, and internal platforms. At Chef Software I designed and built the backend serving every programmatic download of the product, and cut its operating cost by more than 90% by recognizing we were paying for a full artifact repository to do something much simpler. At Carvana I built the test tooling that let every engineering team validate a delivery platform moving thousands of vehicles a day.
