I have 20+ years’ experience in Network Engineering/IT/Network Security and Leadership with advancement at each position.  Most recently, I worked with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  I started with the Society as Senior Network Architect in August of 2021.   As Architect, I documented the enterprise network, resolved several existing spanning tree issues at several sites which were causing suboptimal routing.  We also replaced the legacy Nutanix Hyperconverged systems in our Datacenters with new generation hardware and built out new virtual environments and migrated servers that were within the current lifecycle as well as replacing old Windows 2012R2 servers with 2019 servers.  In addition, we reviewed our Azure Cloud and replaced legacy NSGs, storage, and old models of servers with Azure’s new models saving the Society about 30k/mo.  In March, I was asked to take the Senior Director of Technology Operations role which was responsible for all Society infrastructure except laptops.  We maintained 80+ sites, 2 datacenters, and our Azure cloud presence.  I remained the Senior Network Architect as well as I was the SME in Networks.

Previously, I worked with Diversified Systems Resources as Manager, Enterprise Networks.  In this role, I was also both the technical team lead for everything network related as well as responsible for the overall management, oversight, and strategic direction for our data and voice networks. My team supported all switching, routing, network security, storage networks, UCS, Virtualized systems, Microsoft on-prem and O365.  We also supported our Enterprise voice solution using Cisco PCCE, UCS, Nimble, Calabrio, Finesse, etc.  While at DSR my role was to standardize, document, modernize and diversify our enterprise infrastructure to become truly redundant and agile.

Before DSR I worked with TierPoint and acted as Service Delivery Manager, Network Operations Manager, and Network Team Lead.  Providing support for TierPoint’s most demanding customers provides excellent leadership situations which have served me well the last four years.  I progressed from Network Engineer II to Service Delivery Manager, 5 promotions in 4 years, throughout my time at TierPoint earning the respect of my fellow coworkers as well as TierPoint leadership and our customers.  With 42 datacenters and over 5000 customers with both physical and virtual environments we lead the market segment in diverse architectures and supported platforms.
