Hi! I’m a senior software developer with over eight years of experience building and maintaining production systems across fintech, nonprofit, and SaaS environments. I currently work at Freespoke, where I help develop a search platform that serves millions of monthly queries. My work spans frontend, backend, and infrastructure, with a focus on building systems that are reliable, understandable, and sustainable for the teams who maintain them.

At Freespoke, I’ve worked on a variety of epics such as payments, authentication, data pipelines, revamping frontend architecture, etc. I led our migration from Create React App to Next.js App Router, helped deliver revenue-generating affiliate and e-commerce features, and built automation that dramatically reduced manual product data work. Before Freespoke, I worked at Anedot, where I helped modernize internal tools by migrating legacy dashboards to a Vite + React frontend and extending Ruby on Rails APIs. That work taught me a lot about shipping improvements inside existing systems without breaking what people rely on. Earlier, at Conexus Credit Union, I built .NET Core APIs for online banking and internal systems, helped launch the company’s first member-facing mobile app, and helped modernize the engineering culture, such as training and supporting other engineers during a major transition from TFSVC to Git. With my work at Shiverware IoT, I’ve also built native iOS apps in Swift, React Native applications, and even a small machine-learning model with CoreML for photo classification.

Before becoming a full-time developer, I spent six years serving as a pastor; shepherding, leading several teams in various domains (small groups, music ministry, college ministry), designed, installed, and trained teams on church technology and media systems, and discipling brothers and sisters for the Kingdom. My faith continues to shapes how I approach engineering; I don’t see software as just code, it’s something that can advance the mission we're on. I care about clarity, humility, and building tools that genuinely make a difference for the Kingdom and for the world. I’m especially drawn to teams where faith, integrity, and engineering collide, and where the goal isn’t simply shipping features or chasing profits, but building things that are meaningful in the long run.
