I am a 59 yr-old software engineer with over 30 years of high-performance embedded software design experience.  As I look forward at the horizon of my career, I see retirement in about 5-7 years.  I would like to use the skills that God has blessed me with in this tail end to advance the Kingdom.

Although the vast majority of my software has been C++, I can very quickly learn new languages and technologies.  I wrote my first Android/iPhone app (a sailboat race timing app), writing in C#, using .NET MAUI, in about 4 evenings of my off time.  At my current job, I am often called upon to jump into completely unfamiliar bodies of code to assist other developers triage and debug complex system issues.  I am completely comfortable reverse engineering and analyzing code without the benefit of questioning the original author, regardless of the language.

My wife and I are very plugged into our home church, Bridgepointe Christian, East Providence RI, where we lead a dinner home group of 12 each week.  I also am part of a weekly men's bible study with this church.  We are faithful tithers, and are both in the Word daily.

At this stage in my career, I am not interested in relocating.  I am open to in-office positions in the RI/MA area, or fully remote.  I am an extremely effective full-time home worker, having been doing so since early 2018.
