As I’ve prayerfully considered what’s next for me in my career, I’ve found a deep desire to work at a place where the company values align with my own Christian faith, and one that matters a little more than an average (or even the vast majority) tech job. As a believer, I have felt it can be difficult to find a tech job that truly glorifies God in terms of product, mission, or simply how the company approaches work, and I’m really excited by the opportunity to find that with ChristianTechJobs! Whether it’s simplifying complex data, shipping features that people love, or collaborating with a distributed team, I’m at my best at work when I’m working to solve meaningful problems by building solutions with code, and I’m happily looking for a chance to grow in leadership as well.
Before I was a developer, I was a professional endurance athlete and coach. I spent years helping people interpret performance data, turn insights into action, and reach their goals. That experience taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt quickly, and break down complex ideas so they’re easy to work with—all skills I carry into my engineering work today. I started learning to code out of pure curiosity and excitement, diving deep into full stack development on my own through project-based learning. I built and deployed several applications using tools like React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Docker. Within five months, I was hired as a full-time junior developer, and I’ve been growing ever since.
At Complyify, I integrated third-party tools like Stripe and Intercom and contributed to an SDK used by external partners. At SparkCognition, I transitioned legacy Django views into React components and built dashboards to visualize cybersecurity data. At TrainerRoad, I worked across web, mobile, and desktop platforms, including creating a data visualization component that helped athletes understand their performance and make better training decisions. I also contributed to backend services in C#. As a React and React Native developer, I worked extensively on mobile development, as well as web.
I’ve worked fully remote for years, and I really value the communication and ownership that kind of environment builds. I’m comfortable working independently, I enjoy pair programming, and I’m quick to ask questions and give or receive feedback. I’m pragmatic, collaborative, and always ready to learn something new.
Thanks for taking the time to read. I’d love to chat more about how I can contribute to your team.
Thanks so much for the opportunity,
Mitchell
