I'm a frontend developer in active transition from 12 years of pastoral ministry — and I'm not just pivoting into tech, I'm pivoting toward a very specific intersection: faith, people, and the tools that serve them.

For a decade I led worship at Journey Church in Gillette, WY, running complex production systems every Sunday — Ableton Live, ProPresenter, Planning Center, DMX lighting, video production — while discipling leaders and building teams from scratch. I know what it costs a church to run well, and I know what good technology feels like from the inside.

Now I'm building the skills to contribute on the development side. I'm currently enrolled in the Meta Front-End Developer Certificate on Coursera, working daily with AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot, and actively building projects at smrnichols-lgtm.github.io/Worship-to-web.

I'm drawn to companies like Triumph Tech and Multitracks.com — organizations where the mission is the product. I bring 12 years of ministry credibility, a deep understanding of the church technology user, and the drive of someone who knows exactly why this work matters.
