While returning from a mission trip to Puerto Rico in 2018, I watched as our bus pulled into a large parking lot. Stepping onto the pavement, something began to stir in me. I suddenly found myself wanting to go back to Puerto Rico. I wanted to keep serving. 

A year after my trip, I made a difficult decision to walk away from a well-paying and potentially career-defining role in the nuclear energy industry. It was a tough choice, but one I could no longer ignore. My desire for kingdom work continued to burn within me.
