Where to post a job at a church, Christian school or nonprofit

October 23, 2026

Once a church, Christian school or ministry has written a job description, the next decision is where to put it. Christian hiring runs through a handful of boards, each built around a different kind of employer, so the right place to post depends on the role you're filling.

Christian organizations should post jobs on the board built for the role. Christian Tech Jobs takes tech, design, marketing and operations roles, and sister site Christian Jobs List covers teaching, healthcare, counseling, finance and church office jobs. Pastor and ministry staff openings belong on church staffing boards such as ChurchStaffing.com and JustChurchJobs.

How do you choose where to post a Christian job?

Start with the people you want to reach, since each board gathers a different crowd. Church staffing sites fill up with pastors and worship leaders, a board run for Christian colleges draws faculty, and a tech board collects the developers, designers and marketers that churches and ministries also hire. Posting a software role on a pastor board usually means paying for an audience that will scroll past it.

We run Christian Tech Jobs, and the same team runs two sister sites, Christian Jobs List and Faith Friendly Jobs. Faith Friendly Jobs is built for job seekers, so it isn't a place employers post. We described every other board from what its own website said in October 2026, and we haven't ranked any of them.

Where should you post tech, design and marketing jobs?

Christian Tech Jobs

Christian Tech Jobs is for Christian companies, churches and nonprofits hiring software, IT, data, design, product, marketing, communications and operations roles. A 30-Day Job Post costs $115, your role goes live within 24 hours, and you get AI matches from our talent network along with 30 days of Talent Search access to browse candidates and reach out to them directly. If a post falls short of our site averages, we run it another 30 days for free.

The board accepts postings from companies, nonprofits and ministries hiring for their own teams, and it doesn't take postings from third-party recruiting agencies or staffing firms. Employers hiring for several roles can buy bundle credits that save up to 50% on multiple posts, and Talent Search is also available on its own by the month or the year. If you want to see how the audience breaks down before you post, our hire Christian talent page lists the roles the board covers.

Where should you post teaching, healthcare, counseling and administrative jobs?

Christian Jobs List

Christian Jobs List is a sister site of Christian Tech Jobs, run by the same team, for every role at a Christian organization that isn't tech or pastoral ministry. Christian schools, nonprofits, churches, healthcare organizations and Christian companies use it for education, healthcare, counseling, social work, fundraising, finance, human resources and church office and administration roles. It doesn't take pastor or ministry staff roles, so those belong on the church staffing boards in the next section.

A 30-Day Job Post costs $95 at its founding price, and the regular price is $115. As on Christian Tech Jobs, your role is live within 24 hours, you receive AI matches and 30 days of Talent Search access, and a post that doesn't hit the site average runs another 30 days free. Checkout also offers a "Keep active until filled" option that renews the post every 30 days until you turn it off.

CCCU Career Center

The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities runs this board for Christian higher education, church ministry and Christian nonprofit employers, so it's the natural place for faculty, dean and campus administrator searches. Posting packages run 30 or 60 days, with upgrades for a spotlight placement, a branded employer profile and a mention in its eAdvance newsletter, which goes to more than 9,600 subscribers. CCCU member institutions get discounted pricing.

Idealist

Idealist is a general nonprofit job board that reaches well beyond Christian organizations, and it's worth considering when a Christian nonprofit wants its program, development or operations roles in front of a wider audience. It sells single job posts and multi-job credit packs to nonprofits, government agencies and other mission-driven employers, and it says 1.3 million people visit each month. Expect to screen for mission fit yourself, since candidates there come from across the social-impact sector.

Where should you post pastor and church staff jobs?

ChurchStaffing.com and ChristianJobs.com

Salem Media runs both of these sister sites, and they share a resume database of more than 85,000 resumes. ChurchStaffing.com focuses on church staff, with pastoral and ministry openings from churches of every denomination. A single 30-day posting costs $269, longer runs and multi-job packages bring the per-post price down, and resume database access is sold separately for $150 a month. ChristianJobs.com carries church roles alongside jobs at other Christian organizations, and a 30-day posting there costs $199 with the same resume database access.

JustChurchJobs

JustChurchJobs lets churches post jobs for free. Postings go out through a one-click submission to seminaries, colleges and other job boards, and churches can filter candidates by theology and experience and review the sermon or worship video samples candidates upload to their profiles. A church can manage several locations and invite team members from one account.

MinistryJobs

MinistryJobs is part of Froot Group, a church staffing and consulting firm, and its listings center on worship, family ministry, discipleship and senior leadership roles. A 30-day listing costs $199, a 60-day listing is $299 and a 90-day listing is $349, each with access to its resume database and a social media spotlight. Resume database access is also sold on its own for $49 for 30 days.

Vanderbloemen

Vanderbloemen is an executive search firm, so you hire its recruiters instead of posting a listing, and it has placed leaders at churches, schools, nonprofits and values-driven businesses since 2009. Its team runs the search, from a launch meeting and search profile through candidate presentation and negotiation, and its searches carry a one-year guarantee, with a two-year guarantee on senior executive searches. It fits a senior pastor, head of school or executive director hire where a posting alone won't surface the right people.

Where should you post missions and ministry jobs you want syndicated more widely?

Christian Career Center

Christian Career Center serves churches, ministries, schools and Christian nonprofit employers, and it distributes featured postings to general boards like Indeed, LinkedIn and ZipRecruiter. A one-month featured posting costs $99, a three-month featured posting costs $199, and each comes with access to its resume database of more than 27,000 resumes and a mention in its newsletter. Ministries with a budget under $200,000 can post a single basic listing for free if they link to the site from their own website.

Christians for Impact shares missions and global development openings with job seekers, but it curates that list itself and doesn't take submissions, so it isn't a place to post.

Should you also post on Indeed or LinkedIn?

A general board gives you volume, and a Christian board gives you candidates who already want to work at a church, school or ministry. Many organizations do both, posting on Indeed or LinkedIn for reach and on a Christian board for fit. If your role requires agreement with a statement of faith, say so in the posting wherever it runs, since a general board's applicants often won't expect it.

Frequently asked questions

Where should a church or Christian nonprofit post a job opening?

Post pastoral and ministry staff roles on a church staffing board such as ChurchStaffing.com, ChristianJobs.com, JustChurchJobs or MinistryJobs. Post tech, design, marketing and operations roles on Christian Tech Jobs, and post teaching, healthcare, counseling, fundraising, finance and church office roles on its sister site Christian Jobs List. Christian colleges use the CCCU Career Center, and senior leadership searches often go to Vanderbloemen.

What is the best place to advertise a job to Christian candidates?

The best place depends on the role, because each Christian job board gathers a different group of candidates. Christian Tech Jobs reaches Christian technologists, designers and marketers, Christian Jobs List reaches teachers, counselors, nurses and administrators at Christian organizations, and the church staffing boards reach pastors and ministry staff. Posting on the board built for your role puts it in front of people who are already looking for that kind of work.

How much does it cost to post a job on a Christian job board?

Posting prices listed in October 2026 range from free to a few hundred dollars for a single 30-day post. JustChurchJobs is free for churches, Christian Jobs List charges $95 at its founding price, Christian Career Center charges $99 for a featured month, Christian Tech Jobs charges $115, ChristianJobs.com and MinistryJobs charge $199, and ChurchStaffing.com charges $269. Several boards sell resume database access separately, and Christian Tech Jobs and Christian Jobs List include 30 days of Talent Search with every post.

Can a church post a job for free?

Yes. JustChurchJobs lets churches post for free and sends the posting to seminaries, colleges and other job boards, and Christian Career Center offers a free basic listing to ministries with a budget under $200,000 that link back to its site. The other boards above, including Christian Tech Jobs and Christian Jobs List, charge for each post.

Post where the candidates already are

Match the board to the role, write the posting with the salary range and faith expectations stated plainly, and give it the full 30 days before you judge the response. If you're hiring for tech, design, marketing or operations, you can post your job on Christian Tech Jobs today, and if the role sits anywhere else in a Christian organization, Christian Jobs List is the sister site built for it. If you're the one looking for work, our guide to Christian job boards walks through the same boards from the job seeker's side.
