Manager, IT Infrastructure

Purpose and Scope:
 
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting The Gideons International (TGI) infrastructure environment. The Manager, IT Infrastructure will focus on maintenance, upgrades, and security of all the infrastructure components of TGI. The infrastructure is defined as both the internal network and technology equipment (laptops, desktops, printers) that support the headquarters staff. The Manager, IT Infrastructure will also be responsible for managing the Azure Cloud environment that supports all our production applications. The Manager, IT Infrastructure will be directing the staff and related 3rd party vendors in support of the infrastructure. Additionally, may be assigned projects not related to Infrastructure, thus a background in project management, Microsoft TeamWork, and 3 to 5 years successful experience is preferred.
 
This position serves as a primary manager for all technology infrastructure components (hardware, databases, VMware, Wide Area and local networks, disaster recovery, phone systems, printers, laptops, desktops, and wireless access points.   
 
This role will also be the primary contact responsible for our IT security. This would involve developing and maintaining policies, management of security monitoring tools, adherence to knowledge-based training of the HQ staff. The Infrastructure Manager would also be responsible for partnering with 3rd party IT Security partners on developing a Security framework and annual project plans
 
The Manager will work closely with the IT Development partners, the TGI Project Management team and report to the Director, Information Technology.
 
Essential Job Functions:
 
  • Manage the TGI local and cloud-based infrastructure and associated resources (staff) to achieve desired resilience and availability 
  • Manage the TGI Security Framework, Security Tools, Security Training, and related projects
  • Ensure adequate disaster recovery processes are in place and conduct periodic testing
  • Provide project management (time and resource estimates) for all Infrastructure-related project requests, coordinating with all other divisions and contractors as required
  • Develop/manage a yearly infrastructure budget for the maintenance and upkeep of all infrastructure related components
  • Manage the staff and/or partners in the support, monitoring, and compliance of the TGI security policies and framework across all systems
  • Develop/maintain an infrastructure strategic roadmap required to support the business applications of TGI
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce all TGI IT security policies
  • Maintain TGI disaster recovery documentation and plans and conduct periodic testing

Reports To: Director, Information Technology
Works Closely With: Senior Manager, IT Product Development and the Senior Manager, Application Support and the Project Management team

Work Environment and Time Requirements
  • Climate-controlled office environment
  • 8-hour workday
  • Variations in work volume sometimes require extended working hours
  • Domestic and international travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or equivalent experience in Business-related field
  • Minimum of three to 5 years successful experience leading/managing technical project initiatives or teams
  • Candidate must possess the capability to deliver large and medium-sized projects on time, in scope and within budget
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, TeamWork or other project management applications is preferred
