FundEasy is seeking a Director of Sales to join our team. This pivotal role will spearhead all sales efforts to drive revenue growth, expand customer acquisition, and strengthen market presence.

FundEasy Mission Statement:

Location: Remote, but requires US Residency in one of the following states: AL, AK, FL, MO, NC, SC, TN, TX, VT, or VA. Willing to consider additional states for the right candidate. 

Time Commitment: 40 hours per week (M-F)

Compensation: Competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential and opportunities for performance-based bonuses.

Candidates are required to complete a background check and job-fit criteria tests, including a personality profile and cognitive assessment.

Description:
FundEasy is seeking a Director of Sales to join our team. This pivotal role will spearhead all sales efforts to drive revenue growth, expand customer acquisition, and strengthen market presence. This role is responsible for leading the sales team, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and values. The Director of Sales will oversee sales operations, manage team performance, and implement scalable processes that support both short-term targets and long-term growth. This individual will collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify new market opportunities, optimize the sales funnel, and refine the overall go-to-market strategy. The Director of Sales plays a key leadership role in defining and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to support FundEasy’s mission and vision.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead & Manage the Sales Team – Oversee team structure, scheduling, performance, and development. Recruit, onboard, and manage a high-performing sales team with clear accountability and regular coaching to achieve targets.

  • Strategic Planning & Execution – Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement a scalable sales plan. Define quotas, incentives, and territories to align with budget goals and company objectives.

  • Sales Process Oversight – Manage the end-to-end sales process, ensuring consistent execution across the funnel. Personally support and close high-value opportunities as needed.

  • Performance Analytics & Reporting – Develop reporting systems to monitor KPIs, team performance, and progress toward revenue goals. Leverage data to refine strategy and devise a reporting structure that informs relevant stakeholders of progress.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration – Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to align sales efforts, improve conversion, and support customer lifecycle goals.

  • Sales Materials & Vendor Management – Oversee the creation and management of sales resources, including presentations, proposals, and tools. Manage relationships with contractors and vendors as needed.

  • Meetings, Travel & Representation – Participate in leadership meetings, all-staff meetings, and board meetings (as needed). Travel for the annual planning meeting and attend conferences as required.

Success Metrics:
  • Developed and optimized go-to-market functions to acquire 660+ new customers for FundEasy over 2025 and 2026, maintaining a historical conversion rate of 40%+
  • Strong long-term ROI measured via:
  • LTV:CAC ratio > 4:1
  • Magic Number > 1.0
  • Generate over $9 million in net new ARR by 2028
  • Expansion of ACV to $4,000 by 2029
  • Strong sales performance metrics measured via:
  • Quota attainment and performance consistency
  • Optimized sales cycle time (e.g., faster time from lead to closed deal)
  • Lead-to-sale conversion rate (e.g., percentage of leads converting to closed deals)
  • Increased ACV (e.g., growing average deal size per customer)
  • Ongoing pipeline expansion through strategic prospecting and targeted outreach, prioritizing high-value leads in core and new markets to support revenue goals.
  • Proactive outbound sales strategy developed and executed to target high-potential leads in FundEasy’s core and new adjacent markets, including a re-engagement strategy for churned accounts.

Top Skills/Qualifications:
  • Core Competencies: Strong self-management with excellent time management and workload prioritization; resourceful, independent, and remote troubleshooting abilities while being a collaborative team player; honest, communicative, and eager to learn and grow.
  • MUST have 3-5 years of sales and team management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a creative, data-driven team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day execution.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Ability to recognize and immediately communicate with the VP of Operations when plans need to pivot.
  • Must be competent with computers and internet technologies, including, but not limited to: 
  • CRMs, sales/marketing platforms, and collaborative tools.
  • Software platforms: ClickUp, Slack, Google Suite
  • Highly proficient in sales tools and platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Canva, etc.)
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing high-impact go-to-market strategies that accelerate customer acquisition.
  • Direct experience leading inbound and outbound sales motions, with a focus on expanding market reach and capturing new revenue opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to evaluate sales and team performance and adjust strategies to achieve goals.
  • ROI-focused thinking.

Requirements:
  • Quiet home office with High-Speed Internet.
  • Willingness to travel several times per year and represent FundEasy.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or ministry organizations and/or fundraising processes is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with fundraising, donor management, or event management software is preferred.
