About the Work
Planning Center is looking for a thoughtful and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our web and mobile applications. You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to identify issues early, verify new features, and advocate for the experience of church staff and volunteers who rely on our software every day.

The ideal candidate is passionate about quality, has strong attention to detail, communicates clearly, and enjoys thinking through edge cases and real-world usage scenarios. You’ll play a key role in helping us ship software that is stable, intuitive, and trustworthy across platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to review new features and changes, identifying risks and ensuring requirements are clear, testable, and well understood before release
  • Thoroughly test new features and improvements across web and mobile platforms, validating functionality, usability, edge cases, and real-world workflows before they reach customers
  • Write clear, actionable bug reports that help engineers quickly understand, reproduce, and resolve issues, and verify fixes once they are implemented
  • Help improve our QA processes, documentation, and test coverage by identifying gaps, refining workflows, and advocating for quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Investigate customer-reported issues by reproducing bugs, gathering context, and collaborating with Support and Engineering to ensure timely resolution
  • Participate in team discussions, retrospectives, and learning opportunities to continuously improve your craft and contribute to a friendly, supportive, and quality-focused team culture
