The Software QA Engineer is an important team member in the operations of our internal and external software and systems.<br><br></div><div><strong>Essential Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li>Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback</li><li>Develop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and detailed technical specifications provided by design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirements</li><li>Test web, mobile, and database platforms using experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes</li><li>Support growth of Dev/Ops processes with source control and CI applications (Git, SVN, TFS, Bamboo, Jenkins) knowledge</li><li>Plan new automation test procedures, reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas</li><li>Be involved with project plans detailing the expected level of effort and time required, and consistently meet the allocated milestones</li><li>Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved</li><li>Maintain defect backlog, prioritize defects and champion fixes</li><li>Work with automation team to design, develop, and execute automation scripts using various automation tools such as Selenium, jmeter, Blazemeter, GhostInspector, etc.</li><li>Contribute to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry’s Christian beliefs</li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Essential Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></div><ul><li>Proven expertise in testing web and mobile platforms or mobile development</li><li>Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes</li><li>Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases</li><li>Ability to interpret and scope customer requirements</li><li>Effective ability to set objectives and organize work independently</li><li>Solid knowledge of SQL 2012 and writing SQL queries</li><li>Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-project environment while meeting deadlines</li><li>Knowledge with source control and CO applications (Git, SVN, TFS, Bamboo, Jenkins)</li><li>Experience with automated testing tools</li><li>Proven knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR, HIPPA)</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Core Competencies/Demonstrable Behaviors</strong></div><ul><li>Manages complexity-Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems</li><li>Decision quality-Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward</li><li>Tech savvy-Anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technology applications</li><li>Cultivates innovation-Creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful</li><li>Resourcefulness-Securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently</li><li>Collaborates – builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet objectives</li><li>Situational adaptability-Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations</li><li>Drives Results – consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances and tight deadlines</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM major or equivalent combination of education and experience required</li><li>3+ years’ experience with SQA testing on ERP type applications/systems or proven work experience in software development required</li><li>Advanced programming experience including automation systems and databases</li><li>Familiar with programming script languages including Java, JavaScript, C#, and/or VBScript</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li>This job has no supervisory responsibilities</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Incentives &amp; Benefits</strong></div><div>We work hard to serve our Medi-Share Members, but know we can only do that if we invest in our employees professionally, financially, physically, socially, and spiritually.
