ACS Technologies is hiring a
Remote Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer (SEM) provides assistance in implementation, testing, debugging, documenting, and the management of Managed Services customer facing systems and devices. The SEM also integrates data across these systems to meet the dynamic needs of the business. The SEM is accountable for maintaining approved standards and quality within his/her team and contributing to these across all teams. The SEM is responsible for resolving standard and high level issues while increasing his or her technical know-how and expertise.

What You’ll Do:
  • Independently resolves standard level customer issues, assists on projects, provides technical expertise, and contributes to the IT community.
  • Maintains and improves quality of customer facing systems.
  • Monitors and implements preventative actions to keep unplanned downtime at a minimum.
  • Researches and  implements updates and upgrades as appropriate.
  • Documents systems administered in a timely, accurate manner and maintains appropriate visibility in managed systems.
  • Assists in implementing new and better tools and methodologies.

What We’re Looking For:
  • BS in Computer Science or related, with 3-5 years of systems administration or engineering experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. 
  • Has experience in at least one of the three areas below, with proven working knowledge in the remaining:
    • Server and or systems administration
    • Network administration
    • 3rd party cloud computing design and implementation
  • Experience with ConnectWise is preferred, specifically ConnectWise Manage (PSA) and ConnectWise Automate. 
  • Proven technical skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas to diverse individuals. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Windows and Apple operating systems. Most experience with Apple would be a plus.
