Remote Web Designer
📍 Remote
👤 Role Type: Full-time
At Ligonier Ministries, our mission is to proclaim, teach, and defend the holiness of God to as many people as possible. For more than fifty years, God has used this ministry to equip growing Christians with trusted teaching rooted in the historic Christian faith. Today, as we seek to deepen discipleship and expand our digital presence, we are looking for a Web Designer to help craft online experiences that serve the church and support the global reach of this ministry.
About this Role
Are you passionate about designing websites that are both visually compelling and strategically effective? At Ligonier Ministries, we’re seeking a Website Designer to join our Growth & Engagement team within the Creative Services Department.
The Website Designer will be primarily responsible for designing and optimizing web experiences that support discipleship, donor engagement, and outreach. You will lead the design of new landing pages, improve existing layouts, and ensure that UI/UX decisions reflect Ligonier’s mission, values, and growth priorities.
In addition to your primary web responsibilities, you will also assist the Design team with select graphic design projects that support our growth and engagement efforts. This includes static and digital creative assets used in email, social media, print, and paid media. Your work will help ensure visual cohesion across channels and support the growth team’s broader engagement initiatives.

What You’ll Do
- Design and implement website experiences that support key growth and engagement objectives (e.g., campaign landing pages, content templates, lead-generation layouts).
- Translate wireframes and briefs into responsive, accessible, user-centered designs that align with Ligonier’s brand.
- Contribute to UX and visual design for new initiatives across the website while supporting ongoing optimizations to improve clarity, usability, and conversions.
- Collaborate with Technology Services to ensure clean developer handoff and feasible implementation of designs.
- Own front-end design for digital marketing campaigns, including campaign-specific web pages and user flows.
- Support A/B testing efforts by designing and iterating on page variants in coordination with the Growth team.
- Collaborate with the Design team on select graphic design needs (e.g., digital banners, ad graphics, campaign visuals) that support marketing channels such as email, paid media, and social media.
- Maintain and contribute to our growing design system and digital style guide.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, Web Design, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- 4–6 years of experience in UI/UX or website design, especially for content-driven or nonprofit websites.
- A strong portfolio showcasing responsive design, intuitive user interfaces, and thoughtful UX flows.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of HTML/CSS for design feasibility (development knowledge not required).
- Strong visual design skills with a high attention to detail, especially in layout, typography, and hierarchy.
- Ability to contribute to design systems and follow brand guidelines across digital assets.
- A collaborative approach to design that values feedback, iteration, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Commitment to Ligonier’s General Statement of Faith and the theological clarity of our mission.
