This role is about ensuring that every person who engages with Practicing the Way feels genuinely welcomed, heard, and supported in their journey of apprenticeship to Jesus. You'll help us maintain our commitment to hospitality and presence with the hundreds of people who reach out to us each month across various platforms.

  • Draft compassionate, theologically sound responses to unique pastoral and spiritual formation questions
  • Triage complex inquiries to appropriate team members when needed
  • Document new question patterns and suggest template improvements

Systems & Process Support

  • Contribute to improving efficiency and hospitality in our audience care processes

About the Ideal Candidate
Committed Apprentice of Jesus: Your lifestyle reflects the lifestyle of Jesus, and you are continually arranging your life around being with him, becoming like him, and doing what he would do if he were you. You are an active member in a local church, and affirm our Statement of Faith (as an integrated auxiliary of Bridgetown Church, we share our statement of faith).

Pastoral Heart with Written Clarity: You have a genuine care for people and can express warmth and theological sensitivity in writing. You know how to balance being welcoming with being clear and helpful.
Systems Thinker: You notice patterns and can think about how to improve processes. You're comfortable with templates and systems while maintaining authentic, personalized care.

Self-Directed and Responsive: You can work asynchronously with minimal supervision, prioritize effectively, and respond to people in a timely manner. You're comfortable managing your own workflow.
Spiritually and Emotionally Mature: You can engage with people's pastoral and spiritual questions thoughtfully, knowing when to offer guidance and when to escalate to team members with more experience.
