FaithOnline is hiring a
Remote Fractional Head of Growth & Revenue
Skillset
About FaithOnline
FaithOnline is a Christian community app for following Jesus in every part of life. We're live in the app stores ahead of our hard launch at Advent.
The Role
We're hiring one person to own user growth and revenue at FaithOnline.
Your immediate mandate is growth: build and execute the engine that drives app installs, new users, and scalable distribution. You'll identify, test, and scale the channels, campaigns, and partnerships that can grow FaithOnline organically rather than relying primarily on paid acquisition.
At the same time, you'll build FaithOnline's revenue engine, developing the partnerships, monetization infrastructure, pipeline, and commercial opportunities that position the company for sustainable revenue as our audience grows.
This is full-cycle work. You'll build your own pipeline, open your own doors, pitch and close partners, test acquisition channels, measure what works, and turn successful experiments into repeatable systems.
We're looking for a growth and revenue leader who is also a strategist, executor, and system builder—someone who brings opportunities we haven't thought to ask for and then knows how to move them across the finish line.
You'll be part of our core team and work directly with our founder.
What You'll Own
- User Growth & Acquisition: Own the strategy and execution for driving app installs and new-user growth, working alongside our marketing team. Identify, test, and scale acquisition channels and campaigns, with an emphasis on sustainable organic growth.
- Growth & Distribution Partnerships: Source, negotiate, and close relationships with churches, ministries, organizations, businesses, and other partners capable of expanding FaithOnline's reach and driving measurable user growth.
- Growth Funnel & Analytics: Own the numbers behind acquisition, from installs and conversion to channel and partnership performance. Establish clear KPIs, build reporting, run experiments, and turn the data into action.
- Retention: Keep the users we acquire. Own retention, run re-engagement and referral efforts, and bring what you learn to our product team.
- Sponsorship & Advertising Sales: Build your own pipeline, pitch, negotiate, and close revenue opportunities. Warm introductions from our leadership team can help, but they are never your pipeline.
- FaithOnline Koinonia: Build our in-house monetization unit from the ground up and run it as its own business line. Koinonia owns the monetization surfaces inside the app, including affiliate revenue, ads and placements, sponsorships, and revenue share, and produces campaign work in-house rather than through an outside agency.
- Commercial Partnerships: Develop and close business agreements, licensing opportunities, sponsorships, and other partnerships that create sustainable revenue.
- Pricing & Packaging: Help build our commercial offerings and pricing. Our founder approves the price sheet; you take it to market.
- Creator Monetization: Design and launch the program that pays our Voices, including eligibility, revenue share, payouts, and policy.
- Pipeline & Forecast: Own your pipeline and forecast from first outreach through close and renewal.
What We're Looking For
The bar is three things, not one: you've grown a consumer product or platform, you've personally carried and hit a revenue number, and you've built or run product or creator monetization.
Growth strategy is one muscle. Selling is another. Affiliate revenue, revenue share, sponsorships, and payouts are another. This role needs all three because there's no one to split it with.
- You've driven measurable user growth. You can point to a product, platform, or audience you helped grow, the specific actions you took, and the results.
- You've carried a number that was yours, not a team's.
- You've sold before the proof existed, at an early-stage company or during a launch without an established track record.
- You source your own opportunities. Whether it's a user acquisition channel or a commercial partner, you know how to find the opening and pursue it.
- You move from strategy to execution quickly. You test, measure, learn, and double down on what works.
- You're comfortable building from zero. There's no established growth machine or mature revenue organization waiting for you.
- You're comfortable being the primary growth and revenue owner while working closely with a founder who is in the details.
- You're aligned with an evangelical Christian worldview.
We're especially drawn to backgrounds in consumer growth, faith media, creator platforms, subscription products, sponsorship sales, or monetization leadership. We care more about the muscle than the logo on your resume.
Not a Fit If
You answer a growth question with a methodology instead of an experiment. You answer a deal question with a strategy deck instead of a pipeline. You need a proven audience before you can sell. You rely primarily on paid acquisition instead of figuring out how to build sustainable distribution.
This is a builder role, not an advisory role.
The Engagement
This starts as an independent contractor role for an initial ninety days, scoped to deliverables rather than hours, with a conversion decision at the end of the term. Compensation is discussed during the interview process.
