Today, that looks like lightning-fast data visualization for production engineers, integrating data from disparate systems into an intuitive web app to visualize production on a single screen, set accurate targets, categorize variance events, and collaborate cross-functionally. We’ve grown revenue 10x+ in the last two years, with 15%+ of onshore U.S. oil production managed on Wise Rock, and we’re still in our infancy—scaling in Oil & Gas and expanding to new industries. The Role — Summary 
In addition to feature development and responding to production issues, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of Wise Rock’s technology as we grow. Joining a small but rapidly expanding team, you’ll have outsized influence on the product, tech stack, and the way we build—making thoughtful decisions around architecture, performance, and reliability while continuously building quality into every layer of the application. You’ll help define and refine engineering practices, champion clean code and testing standards, and explore tools that elevate both individual and team performance. This is a highly collaborative, high-ownership role. 
 
What You’ll Do 

  • Build unique, challenging features for data visualization and high performance.
  • Explore and experiment with different technologies to inform possible solutions.
  • Influence coding patterns and practices and collaborate actively on shared work.
  • Work across new business features, re-designs, performance enhancements, and code quality improvements.

What You’ll Bring (Experience & Proficiencies)
 

  • 5+ years of compelling frontend experience (React + TypeScript).
  • Broad full-stack range: frontend, backend, SQL databases, CI/CD workflows, observability, cloud infrastructure, and IaC.
  • Proven feature ownership end-to-end (design → deployment → maintenance).
  • Principal-level tech leadership: leading/participating in architecture and SDLC decisions.

  • Competitive base compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Discretionary profit sharing (target ~10% of salary).
