The Sales Director will lead a team of two key account representatives to maximize growth in revenue, achieve sales goals, and secure new specialty retailers that will provide the greatest impact for long term results.</div><div><strong><br>Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li>Prepare sales strategies for current and new account base and help close sales to attain reveune goals.</li><li>Travel where and when necessary to meet with accounts to develop relationships and grow revenue.</li><li>Prospect potential new key accounts to generate additional revenue as budgeted by the VP of Sales. A current&nbsp; target list of 500 retailers has already been identified.</li><li>Assess customer’s needs and present creative ideas and product solutions to meet those needs.</li><li>Forecasting all product needs within identified account base.</li><li>Develop strong intercompany relationships that leverage opportunities to close and increase sales to account base, most notably with the Cider Mill, Gift, and Childrens teams.</li><li>Monitor monthly sales and submit forecasts each week throughout the month while also noting key achievements.</li><li>Manage some key accounts where you may have personal relationships and assign other key accounts to internal team.</li></ul><div><strong><br>Qualifications<br></strong><br></div><div><strong>Work Experience:</strong></div><ul><li>7 years of successful sales experience within the publishing industry. Two years experience in a leadership capacity preferred.</li><li>Specific key account level sales experience among specialty retailers strongly desired.</li><li>Any experience with custom product development is a plus.</li></ul><div><strong>&nbsp;</strong></div><div><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent work experience preferred.</div><div><strong>&nbsp;</strong></div><div><strong>Industry Knowledge:</strong></div><ul><li>Knowledge of publishing industry, including the production/manufacturing process strongly preferred.</li><li>Understanding of industry best practices along with retail relationships among Specialty Retailers. With strong knowledge of special sales customer base and working relationships is ideal.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Skills:</strong></div><ul><li>Stellar sales performance through resourceful execution &amp; persistence.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in person, via video conferencing, and over the phone.</li><li>Ability to work with and lead/influence others in a team environment.</li><li>Works well across all channels to support sales, marketing, and publishing.</li><li>Excellent follow through required.
