Senior Full Stack Engineer

Strong Family is currently implemented across East Africa, India, and Haiti, where hundreds of local churches have adopted the framework and demonstrated sustained family stability and child well-being. Building on this foundation, we are expanding into additional developing- country regions globally, scaling a proven model that empowers families, strengthens communities, and creates durable, locally owned change.

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and evolve the technology that powers Strong Family’s global expansion. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who has depth in one area of the stack and a proven ability to learn and contribute across new layers as product and platform needs to evolve. 

You will work on systems used in real-world environments with intermittent connectivity, shared devices, and high expectations for data integrity. Success in this role requires strong engineering judgment, curiosity, and a commitment to building reliable, maintainable software that directly supports families, caregivers, and community leaders. This is an individual contributor role with meaningful ownership and long-term impact. 

You are not expected to be an expert in every technology listed above. We value adaptability, sound engineering judgment, and a track record of learning over framework-specific mastery.

Qualifications

Preferred:
• Familiarity with offline-first or low-connectivity system design 
• Experience working in developing-country contexts or mission-driven organizations

Strong Family is a subsidiary of the nonprofit organization The Global Orphan Project (GO Project). Strong Family exists to break the Orphan Cycle—a recurring pattern where poverty, abuse, and lack of resources fracture families, pushing vulnerable children into orphanages, exploitative systems, and trafficking. Rather than treating the symptoms, we focus on addressing the root causes of family breakdown with scalable solutions that bring restoration to the family level. 

Strong Family offers a competitive benefits package for full-time positions (30+ hours per week) including health, dental, vision and employer paid life insurance, retirement savings and generous PTO plan and a highly competitive, market-indexed compensation when compared to similar non-profit roles. Compensation is commensurate with relevant skills and experience.
