The Position
We are seeking a Head of Marketing to architect and lead the growth engine that will power our next stage of scale. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own the Visitor → Lead → Trial funnel and report directly to the Director of Growth.
In the short-term, you will step into a proven SaaS platform with strong retention and multiple product lines. Long-term, you will design and lead the strategy that expands our marketing-sourced trials, improves funnel efficiency, and drives expansion revenue across our platform.
This is a rare opportunity to combine world-class SaaS marketing with meaningful real-world impact. The strategies you build and the team you lead will not only drive numbers, they will also help churches thrive and people feel connected.
This role is based in Kansas City, Missouri. Our ideal candidate will be local and able to work from our Crossroads District office two days per week in a hybrid schedule.
For the right candidate, we are also open to a fully remote arrangement with strong alignment to CST working hours.
Responsibilities
As Head of Marketing, you will:
- Own the Reach (traffic and awareness) and Engage (lead-to-trial) functions of the funnel.
- Drive measurable growth in marketing-sourced trials quarter over quarter.
- Develop and execute a playbook to scale inbound, paid, and CRO engines.
- Leverage AI-driven marketing tools and workflows to scale content, optimize campaigns, and enhance personalization.
- Establish a data-driven growth model with dashboards and reporting that leadership can trust.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team across content, paid media, design, web, and video.
- Partner with Sales and Rev Ops to align on KPIs, CAC, LTV, and payback.
- Develop campaigns and messaging that drive cross-sell, upsell, and expansion revenue across our growing product suite.
- Translate SaaS growth best practices into strategies that resonate with church leaders (a late-adopter, trust-driven ICP).
Skills
We are looking for a leader who brings a proven track record of scaling SaaS:
- Experience leading marketing teams through the growth-stage / scale-up phase.
- Strong mastery of the Visitor → Lead → Trial funnel.
- Deep expertise with HubSpot as the central marketing automation and CRM platform, with the ability to build, manage, and optimize campaigns end-to-end.
- Competence with AI marketing tools (for example, Make/Zapier, HubSpot AI, ChatGPT Pro) for content, campaign optimization, and automation.
- Proven ability to drive expansion revenue and cross-sell and upsell adoption in a SaaS business.
- Data-driven operator who understands CAC, LTV, and payback math and makes decisions from evidence, not opinion.
- Team builder who has recruited, coached, and scaled pods or teams.
- Creative storyteller who adapts SaaS growth strategies to late-adopter, trust-based markets.
- A leader motivated not just by metrics, but by the opportunity to create lasting impact for people and communities.
- High-capacity operator who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of SaaS marketing experience with a focus on demand generation and growth.
- Proven leadership of a marketing team that delivered results in a growth-stage SaaS company.
- Track record of building and executing demand gen, inbound, and funnel optimization playbooks.
- Proven experience using HubSpot as the primary growth and automation tool in a SaaS environment.
- Comfortable with hybrid team leadership (content, design, digital, paid, ops).
- Kansas City–based or remote with strong alignment to CST time zone.
