<div>As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will be responsible for supporting the work to transform Compassion's front-end web applications to a new CMS solution. The senior developer will support the team by mentoring and training where applicable. They will work with internal customers throughout the ministry to solve problems that will meet the organization’s digital experience needs, both in the current technical stack and our future state as well.<br><br></div><div><strong>What will you do?</strong></div><ul><li>Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.&nbsp;</li><li>Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. You will evaluate estimates in retro and refine your estimates going forward.</li><li>Develop User interfaces for Modern Rich Internet Applications with the latest Front-End Technologies.</li><li>You will be uniquely positioned to solve unique problems that impact a wide swath of the business that will require innovative thinking to successfully accomplish.</li><li>Writes well-tested and documented React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.&nbsp;</li><li>Is experienced with Figma to dev to production work pipelines that simplify reuse and atomization of components.&nbsp;</li><li>Develops integrated solutions with our content middle-tier and transactional APIs. &nbsp;</li><li>Supports legacy capabilities like, Razor Templates as we migrate to our new React based front-end stack.&nbsp;</li><li>Is conversant in LAMP stack front end solutions.</li><li>You will mitigate conflicts caused by change as you prioritize the business objectives in order to influence new processes towards successful adoption of change.</li><li>Experienced split testing in order to drive to informed decisions.&nbsp;</li><li>Creates solutions that simplifies existing workflows and technologies in order to streamline user experiences and capabilities alike.&nbsp;</li><li>You will guide the strategy development for front end Marketing projects that contain notable risk and complexity.</li><li>As you consider new technologies, you will partner with the business and IT in order to determine the best solution possible.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>What do you bring?</strong></div><ul><li>8+ years of experience with Reactjs or other JavaScript frameworks.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be an expert in your area of the organization as well as have a broad knowledge of other disciplines.</li><li>You will influence industry and Marketing best practices to create product solutions that solve business needs effectively.</li><li>Experience transitioning an enterprise to a headless environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong expertise with HTML, CSS, and writing cross-browser compatible code.&nbsp;</li><li>Well versed with utilizing and integrating a utility-first design systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4 and solutions like Tealium.&nbsp;</li><li>Good understanding of AJAX and JavaScript Dom manipulation Techniques.&nbsp;</li><li>Well proven Source Control best practices within systems like Github, Bitbucket, etc. for branching and deployment capabilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Experienced with consuming design requirements for the implementation of new user experiences and solutions. &nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience with UI Component management solutions like Storybook, Knapsack, or the like.&nbsp;</li><li>You will embrace system simplicity with the mind for enhanced maintainability. <div>We are currently looking for a React/React Native Developer to join the fast-growing product team at Flocknote. It's an important role in our company and will help shape the path forward for Flocknote.<br><br></div><div>We're a small, startup dev team with a passion for the Church and making great things. We work hard, have fun, and are always improving. Because we're a small shop, you must be self-motivated, able to manage your day-to-day schedule, and a very good communicator. Including increasing client-side performance and accessibility.</li><li>Tackling bugs post-release.</li><li>Strategizing building out the <em>right</em> features for apps vs web.</li><li>Integrating new features into a non-react front-end codebase. So experience integrating React with legacy code and understanding of using portals will be a big help here.</li></ul><div><br><strong>YOU'LL NEED</strong>:</div><ul><li>At least two years experience using React Native and a great understanding of its inner-workings and quirks.</li><li>Experience releasing apps to the app stores and an understanding of their setups, requirements, and approval cycles.</li><li>To understand node, Webpack, and babel (beyond just using create-react-app).</li><li>To love javascript, es6+, node and all things in that world.</li><li>Experience and comfort developing functional components and hooks.
