Join us and be part of shaping the future of Catholic Answers digital media!<br><br><strong>Location</strong>: Dallas/Fort Worth</div><div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: $60K-$70K</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Edit two video episodes and one audio episode of “Counsel of Trent” weekly.<ul><li>Friday audio episodes will also be converted into videos for a separate YouTube channel.</li></ul></li><li>Each episode ranges from 15-30 minutes, with longer dialogue episodes lasting 1-2 hours (minimal editing required).</li><li>Add jump cuts, stock footage, animations, text overlays, sound effects, and other elements to enhance viewer engagement.</li><li>Utilize provided scripts by Trent Horn for editing guidance.</li><li>Incorporate links to related content within “Counsel of Trent” episodes.</li><li>Apply audio filtering techniques (levels, EQ) for audio cleanup.</li><li>Perform color correction on final video footage.</li><li>Edit one 60-minute episode of “Shameless Popery” weekly, including syncing video/audio/PowerPoint slides and adding relevant clips.</li><li>Upload podcasts to YouTube, Patreon, Soundcloud, and other audio hosting sites.</li><li>Create visually appealing thumbnails for all “Counsel of Trent” and “Shameless Popery” videos.</li><li>Create clips and YouTube shorts from podcast content to drive engagement.</li><li>Live video switch for 1-2 in-person interviews monthly at the Dallas “Counsel of Trent” Studio (or add camera cuts during editing until in-person interviews resume).</li><li>Monitor equipment at the Dallas studio and occasionally travel to Kansas City for studio upgrades related to “Shameless Popery.”</li></ul><div><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>A practicing Catholic with a deep love of the Catholic faith and a strong knowledge of the Magisterium</li><li>Proficiency in video and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity).</li><li>Knowledge of audio filtering techniques (levels, EQ) for audio cleanup.</li><li>Experience in color correction for video footage.</li><li>Familiarity with creating engaging visual content for YouTube and other platforms.</li><li>Ability to work with provided scripts and follow editing guidelines.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally for studio upgrades or in-person interviews.</li><li>Previous experience in podcast/video editing or a related field is preferred.</li></ul><div>This role requires a creative and technically skilled individual who can handle multiple tasks related to podcast and video production, ensuring high-quality content delivery for “Counsel of Trent” and “Shameless Popery.”<br><br></div><div>Full-time, willing to re-locate to Dallas, 3-6 months of remote working.</div>
